COVID-19 Testing/Vaccine

We offer Moderna Vaccines and antibody tests that check your blood by looking for antibodies, which may tell you if you had a past infection with the virus that causes COVID-19. Antibodies are proteins that help fight off infections and can provide protection against getting that disease again (immunity). Antibodies are disease specific. For example, measles antibodies will protect you from getting measles if you are exposed to it again, but they won’t protect you from getting mumps if you are exposed to mumps.

Testing:

COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test:

COVID-19 rapid antigen test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the detection of extracted nucleocapsid protein antigens specific to COVID-19 in nasopharyngeal and nasal swab specimens directly collected from individuals who are suspected of having the COVID-19 virus. This test only takes up to 10 minutes for results, is a minimally invasive specimen collection and is highly accurate.

COVID-19 Antibody Test:

Antibody tests check your blood by looking for antibodies, which may tell you if you had a past infection with the virus that causes COVID-19. Antibodies are proteins that help fight off infections and can provide protection against getting that disease again (immunity). Antibodies are disease specific. For example, measles antibodies will protect you from getting measles if you are exposed to it again, but they won’t protect you from getting mumps if you are exposed to mumps.

Vaccine:

The Moderna COVID-19 vaccine uses mRNA to provide a blueprint for your cells to build your body’s defense against SARS‑CoV‑2, the virus that causes COVID‑19. The Moderna COVID‑19 Vaccine does not contain SARS‑CoV‑2, or any virus—just the blueprint to help fight against it.

The Moderna COVID‑19 Vaccine will be given to you as an injection into the muscle. The Moderna COVID‑19 Vaccine vaccination series is 2 doses given 1 month apart. If you receive one dose of the Moderna COVID‑19 Vaccine, you should receive a second dose of the same vaccine 1 month later to complete the vaccination series.
